That’s all there is to it, now the drive that was once formatted for Mac is. Here, under File System, select either NTFS or exFAT using the dropdown and click Start to format the drive. Open the File Explorer, right-click on the drive and then choose Format.
Keep moving up the list, running First Aid for each volume on the disk, then each container on the disk, then finally the disk itself. Connect your drive to the PC and follow the steps below. But if you forget to back up your Mac storage drive before erasing it, you lose all the stored data present on the drive.
